ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mab Graves is a Contemporary Pop-Surrealist artist living and painting in a small house in the middle of a forest in Indiana.
Her work is deeply personal, often a biography in symbolism, and her inspirations come from Science, paleontology, natural history, retro Space culture, fairy tales and old classic literature.
Mab’s passion for creation has been an overwhelming obsession since she could grip a crayon. A self-taught artist, Mab spent her childhood and teen years exploring graphite and pen mediums and then discovered painting in early 2009.
Mab’s work has been shown is galleries globally and her work has been made into toys, appeared in print articles, magazines, books and has been sold in more than 60 countries. She has had her work featured in music videos, on HBO series, in Architectural Digest, and has worked on projects with Wizards of The Coast, Magic the Gathering, and Lucasfilm.
Mab had the great honor of presenting her greatest inspiration, Margaret Keane, with a Lifetime Achievement award in 2018 at the LA Art show.
Every year, Mab hosts a global online event during the month of October called “Mab’s Drawlloween Club” where thousands of artists have joined in to create work together each day for the entire month.
Mab lives in Franklin, IN with her partner, Larry Endicott, her nephew, and their ginger cat named Snorty.
